Graeme obtained an Honours degree from Auckland University and was admitted to the bar in 1978. After working for a city Law firm he joined with Mick Foy to start his own practice at the age of 24. He has practised continuously for 43 years. He likes to problem solve and gets immense satisfaction from adding value to a client's business or enterprise as well as giving peace of mind. A background in all areas of litigation (including appearing as counsel to Court of Appeal level) allows him to assess the likelihood of success or the likely pitfalls. This allows legal disputes to be settled within acceptable parameters.

 

Graeme's principal areas of practice include:

 

• Estate Planning including trust formation and administration.

• All aspects of property, both commercial and residential.

• Commercial deal-making including advice as to appropriate structures.

• Business sales, purchases and restructuring.

• Finance, including mortgage lending.

• Wills and probate including Family arrangements.

• Relationship Property, both pre and post nuptial.

• Litigation advice.

• Advising sporting, cultural and not for profit organisations.

• Problem solving, including analysis of legal issues.

• Fishing Law advice.

 

Outside the office he is a director of a number of successful private companies. He enjoys travelling with his beautiful partner Sonja, cooking, growing his own organic vegetables (including making his own 

compost) fishing and diving.  He has four successful adult children.
